Just Kidding Learning Center is hiring a fun, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team!
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children, can be a team player, and is willing to jump in and help wherever needed. This position will primarily work in our 3.5–4-year-old classroom.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Applicants must be available for the full 8:00 AM–5:00 PM shift.
Requirements
- Must be 25 years of age or older due to center vehicle/insurance requirements
- Must be comfortable and willing to drive center vans as needed
- Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Must be comfortable changing diapers and assisting with potty training
- Must be able to lift 40+ pounds
- Must be dependable and arrive to scheduled shifts on time
- Must be comfortable working with children throughout the day, including getting down on the floor, lifting, bending, standing, and participating in activities
- Must be willing to work as part of a team and help where needed
- Must be patient, kind, energetic, and able to maintain a positive classroom environment
- Must be willing to follow all childcare licensing, safety, supervision, and center policies
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment for children ages 3.5–4
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning activities, art, sensory play, outdoor play, music, and movement
- Help children develop independence, social skills, and kindergarten-readiness skills
- Assist children with toileting and potty training
- Complete diaper changes when needed
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming
- Communicate professionally with parents and coworkers
- Assist with meals, rest time, classroom transitions, and daily routines
- Drive a center van when transportation assistance is needed
- Work together with co-teachers and other staff to make sure all children are cared for and supported
