Good Steward Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency based in Bridge City, Texas. We have been serving Southeast Texas families and businesses for years and we are proud of the reputation we have built in this community.

THE ROLE
This is not a call center job and it is not a data entry position. This is a relationship role.
You will be the dedicated point of contact for an established book of personal lines business covering home, auto, flood, wind, and specialty markets across Southeast Texas. Your job is to make these customers feel taken care of every single day. You will own these relationships.
The right person for this role reaches out to customers before they call us. She does not wait for problems to come to her.
What you will do on a typical day:
- Manage renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and coverage changes for your assigned book of business
- Contact customers proactively before their renewals rather than waiting for them to reach out
- Answer coverage questions, billing questions, and claims guidance calls with confidence
- Build the kind of relationships where customers call you first when something in their life changes
- Identify opportunities to round out accounts and refer them to our producers
- Keep accurate records in our agency management system
- Work with producers and carriers to resolve issues quickly and correctly
- Be the voice customers trust and return to year after year
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Active Texas Property and Casualty License
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a client-facing insurance role on the agency side
- Working knowledge of Southeast Texas markets including wind, flood, and coastal property
- Experience with Epic, EZLynx, or a similar agency management system
- A genuine warmth on the phone that customers notice
- The ability to manage your own workload without needing to be directed step by step
Preferred:
- Experience managing a personal book of business rather than just processing transactions
- Familiarity with specialty carriers in the Southeast Texas coastal market
- A track record of high retention where customers stayed because of you personally
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
WHAT THIS IS NOT
We want to be upfront with you so we do not waste your time or ours.
- This is not a remote position. We are in-office in Bridge City.
- This is not a sales production role. You are not expected to cold call or chase new business leads.
- This is not an entry-level position. If you need someone to explain what a homeowners policy is this is not the right fit right now.
- This is not a large corporate agency. We are a small team and what you do is noticed by everyone including the owner.

- Competitive base salary based on experience
- Quarterly retention bonus when your book stays above 95 percent retention
- Google review bonus paid monthly
