We are seeking to appoint a person to work swings and weekends at our American Fork residential treatment center
The role of the swing shift and weekends is to ensure the house is reset and sanitized every night, and clients are cared for as required.
Please note: only those with clean legal backgrounds are encouraged to apply, to satisfy DHHS requirements to work with vulnerable adults. A full background check will conducted.
Responsibilities/Duties:
The Peer Specialist (PS) is an active member of the clinical team and provides support to clients with substance use disorder under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The duties of the role include:
- support clients as they progress through treatment, helping them understand and keep boundaries, develop interpersonal and problem solving skills
- perform house cleaning, sanitizing duties and some admin duties as required
- Assist with admin tasks as required
Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities:
- Able to empathize and support clients, helping them find solutions to their challenges, while maintaining professional boundaries
- Able to take direction, follow instructions and work unsupervised
- Ability to stay calm and respond well in a crisis situation.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff
- Understanding of HIPAA and commitment to total confidentiality
- Competent computer skills
Benefits
- Hourly Rate: between $17-$18 per hour depending on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
