Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility is seeking an ART TEACHER for Luther E. Ball High School. Here are some of the job duties and working characteristics of this position:

Assesses educational needs of youth and develops lesson plans to include individualized assignments in arts & crafts,

Amministers, scores and interprets exams and projects,

Maintains discipline and counsels students concerning their performance and/or behavior,
-
Attends meetings (daily morning, individual, pre-admision, discharnge, parent conferences),
-
Prepares required records and reports for grades,
-
Orders supplies and materials needed,
-
Knowledge of education designed for arts & crafts of middle and high school students,
-
Ability to assess educations needs of students and develop individual plans, if necessary,
-
Attends all graduations ceremonies,
-
Establsh a good rapport with students and staff members.

Current Teacher Certificate appropriate for arts & crafts & grade level to be assigned; Teacher 3, 71123, must also have master's degree;

Supplemental Information
All individuals hired by the state of Ohio will be required to attend an additional 3 weeks of mandatory training at the Correctional Training Academy in Orient, Ohio, after hire. All expenses of the training are covered by the state of Ohio to include lodging, meals and transportation.
