Description
Looking for an opportunity to make an impact?
We’re hiring RF Seeker Engineers at multiple levels.
Leidos Defense Sensors is seeking multiple RF Seeker Engineers across various experience levels to join our Sensor Research and Analysis Division. Our division supports a wide range of research, development, and operational efforts, including radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, and HWIL testing and analysis.
In these roles, the selected candidates will primarily support the division’s algorithm development efforts with a focus on RF seeker signal‑processing capabilities and concepts of operations. They will maintain familiarity with the fielded systems our division supports, investigate cutting‑edge RF seeker technologies, and develop studies that inform our customers about emerging seeker advancements. These studies will typically include provisional MATLAB modeling, closed‑loop simulation, and validation on radar hardware.
The selected candidates will also present progress and study findings to Government and prime‑contractor stakeholders and collaborate closely with division teams on broader radar development and testing activities.
Your greatest work is ahead!
RF Seeker CONOPS - Concepts of operations and decision processes used to close the kill chain with an RF seeker across various use cases and environments
RF Seeker Mode Logic - Waveforms, algorithms, and guidance methods associated with RF seeker flight stages and transitions
Signal Processing - Waveform design, matched filtering, detection processing, clutter rejection, and target feature extraction
Electronic Warfare - Analysis of RF countermeasures and techniques for protection against them
Simulation Development - Architecture, resource management, interfaces, and feature modeling for radar and seeker simulations
Modeling & Analysis - Setting up, testing, analyzing, and evaluating radar or communications algorithms in software
Software Development - Experience with high‑performance computing languages such as C++
Calibration – Far-field and/or near‑field calibration techniques for radar systems
Tracking - Design and analysis of Kalman filters, IMM approaches, and detection‑to‑track association methods
Radar Resource Management - Scheduling and optimization techniques across radar subsystems
RF Test Equipment - Experience with tools such as vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
If this sounds like the kind of environment where you can thrive, keep reading!
