About Florent Labs
Florent Labs is a licensed adult-use cannabis manufacturer (NJ-CRC Class 2) in Roselle, New Jersey. We run hydrocarbon extraction in-house and produce concentrates, live resin vape cartridges, and infused pre-rolls for the New Jersey wholesale market. We're a small team scaling fast, with new brands launching this quarter.
The role
This is a working manager job. You'll run the lab yourself — extraction, cart filling, post-processing — while supervising a small team of technicians and owning production output. When equipment breaks, you're the first one to open it up. You'll report directly to ownership and have real say in how the lab runs, what we buy, and who we hire next.
What you'll do
· Run hydrocarbon extraction on our closed-loop system (ExtractionTek MEP-30) — from fresh-frozen and cured material through purge
· Operate and maintain our Vape Jet 4.0 for live resin cart production
· Produce concentrates (badder, sugar, shatter, live resin) and infused pre-rolls to spec
· Plan and schedule production runs against wholesale commitments
· Supervise, schedule, and train extraction technicians
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lab equipment; manage parts vendors and service schedules
· Own METRC compliance for manufacturing: tags, transfers, waste, reconciliation
· Keep the lab inspection-ready: SOPs, batch records, safety protocols (NFPA/fire code compliance for the extraction booth)
What we're looking for
Must have:
· 2+ years hands-on hydrocarbon (BHO/PHO) extraction experience in a licensed facility
· Experience running closed-loop extraction systems (MEP-30 or comparable — ETS, Precision, Luna)
· Working knowledge of METRC in a manufacturing environment
· Mechanical aptitude — comfortable diagnosing and fixing pumps, chillers, ovens, and filling equipment
· Age 21+ and able to obtain NJ-CRC credentialing
Strong pluses:
· Vape Jet (any generation) or other automated cart-filling experience
· Infused pre-roll production at scale
· Prior lead, supervisor, or lab manager experience
· C1D1 booth operations and solvent safety training
Pay and benefits
· $95,000–$110,000/year, depending on experience
· Performance bonus tied to production output and yield
