Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at our Benwood, WV scrap processing facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating a variety of heavy equipment, including Front-End Loaders, Hydraulic Material Handlers, Forklifts, Cranes, track mobile in order to accomplish various material handling assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Load and Unload trucks using a crane or hydraulic material handler
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Load and unload trucks using a front end loader
- Perform inventory stockpiling of product out bound to customers specifications.
- Keep areas clean and store supplies and materials in designated areas.
Requirements:
- Basic math, reading and writing skills in order to comprehend customer specifications.
- Ability to handle equipment, machinery and tools safely and sensibly.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift for extended periods of time and various weather conditions
- Ability to perform above duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
- Satisfactorily pass forklift driving, crane operating training programs and demonstrate safe handling of the equipment in an on-site test.
