Not Just a Desk Job — We Need Someone Who Can Do Both
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to run the scale house and handle basic aggregate testing. This role is critical to keeping production accurate, customers moving, and material meeting spec.
What You’ll Be Doing
Scale Operations:
- Weighing inbound/outbound trucks and issuing tickets
- Managing truck flow and communicating with drivers
- Handling data entry, recordkeeping, and daily reports
- Assisting with dispatch and phone communication
Aggregate Testing:
- Sampling materials (sand, gravel, stone)
- Performing basic tests (gradation/sieve analysis, moisture, etc.)
- Recording and reporting test results accurately
- Working with plant/operators to maintain material quality
What We Expect
- High attention to detail — mistakes cost money here
- Ability to multitask between scale traffic and lab/field work
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Basic computer skills (data entry, reports, email)
- Reliable, consistent attendance — this is a key role
- Willingness to learn testing procedures (training available if needed)
- Able to lift 50lbs

Bonus If You Have

- Knowledge of QuickBooks for invoicng
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
