Role Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for shipping product accurately from our Brooklyn Park facility to support exceptional customer service. This position is also responsible for monitoring inventory and correcting any problems as they are discovered to ensure that inventory is accurately maintained. The Shipping Clerk reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.
Schedule
Days: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Areas of Accountability:
- Ship Product: Print out shipping pick list and ship product as required, pick items for shipment using a forklift, ensure accurate shipment of goods to customers in a timely manner.
- Count daily production, record, and enter information into computer to update finished goods and/or second operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and correct problems when they are discovered so that inventory accuracy is maintained.
- Put away finished goods and maintain documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space with an emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
- Follow all quality and safety procedures.
- Upon qualification, may be required to drive dock truck to and from main facility and off-site warehouse.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Familiar with forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, material handling, and/or related experience is a plus.
- IQMS software experience.
