We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Ophthalmic Research Assistant to join our growing clinical trials team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support across multiple clinical studies, working under the guidance of Clinical Research Coordinators and the site leadership team. You will support the execution of ophthalmology-focused research projects, ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols and maintaining meticulous documentation.

Duties
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the research office.
- Assists with patient care and collection of medical history, medications and other data necessary for conducting clinical trials.
- Data entry
- Supports team by performing tasks per protocol
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and placing and expediting orders for supplies.
- Recruit and screen subjects to participate in trials
- Coordinate patient visits and perform procedures related to research
- Collect accurate data obtained from research visits
- Monitor research participants to ensure adherence to study protocol
- Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines including regulatory and ethical standards
- Maintain relationships with site staff, study subjects, and sponsor delegates
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Clinical Research Coordinator
- Maintain compliance with all research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and other ophthalmic evaluations
- Collaborate with the research team to coordinate study activities, schedule appointments, and facilitate communication among healthcare providers and participants
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
