Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, flatbed, and refrigerated trailer operations. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Safely load and unload freight while ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and road closures.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck to uphold company standards.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driver experience.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles comfortably.
- Experience with various freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, and tankers is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
