Job Title: Assistant Bookkeeper
Job Overview:
We are seeking an assistant bookkeeper to join our team, specializing in managing Homeowners Associations (HOAs). The ideal candidate will have experience with AppFolio and able to maintain accurate financial records and reports. Knowledge of Quickbooks and HOA bookkeeping is desired. You will be assisting our bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Basic data entry with accounts receivable and payable.
- Must be able to understand and handle multiple association needs.
- Assist with answering phones.
- Preferred experience as an assistant bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office ecosystem.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Comfort with technology and willingness to adapt to new software and tools.
- Willing to download company apps on your mobile device for time keeping, communication, and HOA software.
- Ability to handle customers with patience and care.
- Ability to work as a team to accomplish tasks.
