We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for the company. This role will work closely with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, support strategic decision-making, and maintain strong financial controls across multiple manufacturing locations.
Position Overview
The Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, leadership ability, and a hands-on approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Support strategic planning and operational decision-making with financial analysis
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
- Supervise and develop accounting staff as the company grows
- Improve financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or Controller-level role
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and multi-location financial operations
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization
