Advanced Veterinary Medical Center in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dedicated and compassionate team. Position Overview
The RVT will play a critical role in patient care, supporting veterinarians with medical procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia, and client education. This position is ideal for a motivated technician who values teamwork, professionalism, and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, injections, and medication administration
- Conduct in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging support
- Provide compassionate patient handling and safe restraint
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure hospital cleanliness and organization
Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California (required)
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
