Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education best practices, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches
- Design engaging lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to diverse age groups such as toddlers and preschoolers
- Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies
- Support children with special education needs through early intervention techniques and individualized learning strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that prioritizes child welfare and promotes healthy development
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support holistic child development and ensure a nurturing daycare or preschool setting
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or private preschools
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Previous experience in infant, toddler or preschool care environments that emphasizes child welfare and developmental support
Qualifications & Requirements
- Lead Teacher Qualification: Must meet state-specific "Lead Teacher" requirements (e.g., CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent credit hours).
- Soft Skills: High energy, patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for early childhood development.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and engage in active play with children (standing, kneeling, sitting on the floor).
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
