Pool Technician Apprentice
Great Valley Pool Service has openings for a Pool Technician Apprentice. We are looking for a candidate with a willingness to learn and that seeks to become part of the Great Valley Pool Service Team. This position offers the potential to transition into our holiday decorating business at the end of the pool season. No experience is necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Assist with daily tasks including testing and balancing water chemistry; skimming, vacuuming, and brushing the pool; and cleaning equipment as needed
· Responsibly handle chemicals including, but not limited to Chlorine, algaecides, pH balancers, and muriatic acid
· Maintain, organize, and restock Company vehicle with all necessary parts, tools, equipment, and chemicals
· Learn to assist, repair, and care for varying pool systems
· Restock delivered chemicals and liquid chlorine in both the store and the warehouse
· Assist with warehouse transfers
· Take out the trash and recyclables, as well as keep the trash pen clean and organized
· Sweep the store front and warehouses as needed
Qualifications:
· A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to work
· Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
· Competencies include: teamwork, communication, and time management
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to frequently push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Requires the physical ability to use hands, arms, feet, and legs for repetitive movements, bending, squatting, and reaching
· Requires the physical ability to function in exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to chemicals
· Requires driving a vehicle
