Our client, a leading organization in civil infrastructure development, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Capital Projects to join their team. As a Senior Engineer - Capital Projects, you will be part of the Department of Capital Projects supporting project management and engineering excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Senior Engineer - Capital Projects
Location:Leesburg, Virginia
Pay Range:$75,000 - $160,000
What's the Job?
- Manage engineering consultants and construction contractors during design and construction phases of the Town’s capital projects
- Review and recommend approval of consultant fee proposals, change orders, and invoices
- Oversee plan review and approval processes for various capital projects
- Develop and manage project schedules using project management software tools
- Coordinate with utility companies, legal teams, and community stakeholders to ensure project success
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of four years’ experience in civil engineering design or construction
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Proficiency in digital plan review software such as Bluebeam, Revu, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, codes, and regulations related to civil engineering projects
