Beacon Water Technologies is seeking a Mechanical / Project Engineer to support the internal engineering, design, and execution of municipal and industrial water treatment equipment projects.
This role is heavily focused on:
- 3D CAD modeling
- Mechanical system layouts
- Engineering documentation
- Project coordination
- Internal engineering support
The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on real-world engineered equipment systems from concept through fabrication.
This is primarily an internal engineering role with occasional site visits as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
- Develop 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and layouts for water treatment equipment and systems
- Produce engineering documentation including:
- - General arrangement drawings- PFDs and P&IDs- Equipment layouts- Mechanical details- Bill of materials (BOMs)
- Assist with standardization and improvement of internal engineering documents and drawing packages
- Review project plans and specifications to determine equipment requirements and project scope
- Support system design including pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, and related process equipment
- Coordinate with vendors, fabrication shops, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely project execution
- Support procurement with equipment and material selectionProject Coordination
- Track engineering deliverables and assist with project scheduling
- Coordinate internally between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and sales teams
- Assist with submittal package development and customer documentation
- Help resolve fabrication, design, and installation-related issues as projects progress
Continuous Improvement
- Improve standard product models, engineering workflows, and drawing organization
- Support development of standardized assemblies and reusable engineering templates
- Participate in product improvement and system enhancement initiatives
