About EmpowerHer
EmpowerHer Women’s Care Collective is a boutique, direct-care women’s health practice in McCordsville, Indiana. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a warm, relationship-centered environment. Our services include women’s health and wellness, menopause care, sexual health, primary care, medical weight loss, pelvic floor physical therapy, and aesthetics.
We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, and community-minded independent contractor to help us stay consistent, visible, and connected to the women and community we serve.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Social Media & Community Marketing Specialist to support our social media, local outreach, print materials, monthly newsletters, text campaigns, event promotion, and community partnerships.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, organizing ideas, staying current on social media trends, and helping a small business tell its story in a way that feels authentic and approachable. The right person will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with our Practice Manager, providers, and team to keep marketing aligned with what is happening inside the practice.
This is a hybrid role, but regular weekly in-person presence is required. The ideal candidate should be local and available to come onsite during business hours each week to film content, take photos, gather updates, meet with the team, and support the flow of marketing needs. Occasional weekend or evening events may also be required.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Plan and create social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
- Stay up to date on current social media trends, audio, formats, and local marketing ideas, adapting them in a way that feels appropriate for the EmpowerHer brand
- Bring fresh content ideas to the team based on trends, seasonal topics, community opportunities, and service-line priorities
- Work closely with the Practice Manager to identify marketing priorities, office updates, upcoming events, schedule openings, service-line needs, and content ideas
- Film short-form video content in-office with providers and staff
- Edit Reels, short videos, and simple educational content
- Create graphics, captions, and social media posts that match the EmpowerHer brand
- Help maintain a monthly content calendar
- Draft and schedule monthly email newsletters
- Draft occasional mass text and email campaigns for events, promos, service updates, or announcements
- Create printable marketing materials such as flyers, rack cards, service menus, event handouts, and referral materials as needed
- Help promote local events, open houses, workshops, and community collaborations
- Assist with outreach to local businesses, practices, and community partners
- Help organize and track referral partnership opportunities
- Support marketing for service lines
- Provide a simple monthly report of content, outreach, and marketing efforts to the Practice Manager
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is:
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Canva, CapCut, AI and similar content creation tools; Showit and Flodesk a plus
- Familiar with Instagram and TikTok trends, including short-form video formats, trending audio, and platform best practices
- Aware of current social media trends and able to use them thoughtfully without making content feel forced or off-brand
- A strong writer who can create warm, professional, approachable captions, newsletters, and marketing copy
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple small projects at once
- Interested in women’s health, wellness, aesthetics, small business, and local community-building
- Comfortable reaching out to local businesses or practices for partnerships
- Collaborative and comfortable working with a small team where ideas, feedback, and priorities may come from the Practice Manager and providers
