DeVun Veterinary Medical Hospital is looking for an EXPERIENCED ONLY Veterinary Technician. We are a friendly, strong veterinary care team with a dedication to our practice and our patients. This candidate must possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, outgoing personality, ability to work in a team setting and a passion for animals. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm. Candidate must be able to work up to 40 hours per week and available during hours of operation and able to work alternating Saturday shifts. Must be able to demonstrate the following technical skills:
- Direct phone calls about patient care in a polite and friendly manner
- Dog and Cat restraint for exams and procedures
- Utilize our medical office software to schedule follow-up appointments for our patients as well as posting treatment or inventory items as they are performed.
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
- Maintain exam and surgical areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
- Medical Terminology
- Venipuncture and Catheter placement
- Perform Urinalysis, Fecal and In House laboratory equipment for blood panels.
- Familiar wit radiology positioning
- Able to perform Dental Prophys and Surgical experience
- Monitor Anesthesia
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working in a Veterinarian Clinic
- Veterinary experience and knowledge of veterinary products / prescription medications
- Knowledge of Avimark Software system a plus
- ONLY candidates with experience will be considered
