Automated Building Controls is looking for a Controls Installation Technician in the Tallahassee, FL area.
As an HVAC Controls Installer works directly under the supervision of the Project Manager in the installation and repair of HVAC control systems including DDC and electronic components of building automation systems and equipment.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Install power supply, signaling and communications wiring and conduit such as: EMT, rigid conduit, strut, cable trays (pulling wire & installing conduit)
- Assisting with troubleshooting electrical components within BAS systems consisting of wiring diagrams, sensors, relays, actuators, transformers, panels, and circuits
- Install, maintain and repair BAS systems including sensors, motor controls, electrical panels, relays, control wiring, actuators and power supplies
- Measuring, cutting and bending conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Tracing out short circuits in wiring, using test meter
- Examining sensors, actuators and control panels for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools
- Constructing controllers and panels using power drills, taps, saws and punches.
- Cleaning work area
- Maintaining tools, vehicles and equipment and keeping parts and supplies in order
Requirements:
- 1-3 Years experience in either Electrical or HVAC Controls
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review as a condition of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel/reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or listen. The employee frequently lifts and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
