Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, and fabrication, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results. Duties
- Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and frame straightening
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques for fabrication and repairs
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, minor mechanical repairs, and assembly
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs and refinishing tasks
- Conduct detailing to ensure vehicles meet quality standards before delivery
- Assist with auto restoration projects and auto estimating when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Provide own tools
Skills
- Proven experience in auto body repair large truck repair, and restoration processes
- Knowledge of MIG welding, welding techniques, sheet metal work, and fabrication methods
- Familiarity with automotive repair systems, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Experience with soldering, auto restoration projects, assembly work, detailing, and heavy lifting is a plus
- Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; candidates should possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions. Candidates should be committed to quality craftsmanship and safety standards in all aspects of automotive repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
