Duties
- Supervise residents to ensure safety, adherence to house rules, and engagement in daily activities.
- Assist residents with personal care routines, medication management, and daily living skills.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities including art therapy sessions to promote emotional expression and healing.
- Support residents in addressing gender issues counseling needs, fostering an inclusive and respectful environment.
- Monitor residents’ mental health status and communicate observations to clinical team members for ongoing care planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and daily activities in compliance with program policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychopharmacology insights when applicable.
Skills
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and therapeutic approaches, including art therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles related to medication management for mental health treatment.
- Ability to provide sensitive counseling on gender issues, promoting diversity and inclusivity within the community.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate demeanor combined with the ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations.
- Organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and following procedural protocols.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
