Technical
· Will perform all basic and specialized testing involved with comprehensive semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation and urinalysis as outlined in Maze laboratory protocols.
· Will perform all sterile techniques as outline in Maze sperm cryopreservation protocol.
· Observe all safety guidelines, including all required PPE for handling biohazardous, infectious, and toxic materials, and liquid nitrogen.
· Refers semen, blood and urine specimens to outside laboratories for testing as required.
· Keeps all work surfaces, workstations, hoods, and sinks clean and orderly.
· Maintains quality results by running standards and controls.
Clinical
· Assures proper sample collection (semen, blood and urine), delivery, and identification.
· Performs daily/monthly/quarterly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the andrology laboratory.
· Documents quality assurance activities including assessment of problems and appropriate corrective action.
· Performs andrology proficiency testing as required by AAB.
· Performs volume, concentration, strict morphology, WHO morphology, color, motility, viscosity, forward progression, fructose testing, liquefaction, round cells, WBC testing, viability, post ejaculatory urinalysis (PEU) testing on semen samples.
· Performs cryopreservation and post thaw analysis as outlined in protocols.
· Manages vial transfer into permanent storage and destruction of stored vials.
· Performs Extended Sperm Search, and GN-SEM. This includes the processing of sperm via gradient wash, use of ZyMot technologies, mincing and chemical processing of specimens collected from epididymal sperm aspirations and testicular biopsies.
· Sets up, calibrates and cleans lab equipment. Ensures routine maintenance and repairs are performed and documented.
· Assists laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation.
· Assists as required in maintaining lab operations in conformity with the most current OSHA and CLIA regulations.
· Phlebotomy, blood processing and preparation of blood/blood products for analysis.
· Blood analysis using hematology, immunoassay and chemistry analyzers.
· Daily/Monthly & Quarterly maintenance of blood analyzers as needed.
· Performs blood analysis proficiency testing as required by AAB.
· Assists with microsurgeries, including vasectomies, MESA, GN-SEM, and TESE.
· Performs ESWT shockwaves and Mona Lisa following outlined Maze protocols for these procedures as needed.
Administrative
· Processes requisitions, test reports and test records in a timely manner.
· Maintains lab records, reports, and files, including all logs used for semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation and blood analyzers.
· Management of cryo charts for both donors and client depositors.
· Management and coordination of vial releases.
· Arranging reports for deliveries and lab pick-ups.
· May be asked to assist in training new lab staff (as back-up) as assigned by supervisor.
· Perform various office functions including photocopying, typing, faxing, and filing reports.
· Orders and stocks lab supplies on an ongoing basis.
· Communicates with Administrative personnel, medical staff, patients, and outside resources to ensure high quality patient care and customer service orientation.
· Prepares periodic reports and other documents for supervisors.
Reliability
· It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work.
· Work in both NYC and Westchester office as scheduling is needed.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
