Position Summary
The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure the community remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff. This role leads and supports housekeeping team members, manages schedules and supplies, and helps maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Hire, train, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry team members to ensure high-quality service.
- Maintain infection control, sanitation, and safety standards throughout the community.
- Manage department supplies, equipment, linen inventory, and budget-related purchasing.
- Conduct inspections, address maintenance or safety concerns, and ensure compliance with community policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in housekeeping is required
- Experience leading a team is a plus
- Able to stay organized and help plan and guide staff
- Can use and care for cleaning and laundry machines
- Keeps high standards for cleanliness and safety
- Pays attention to details when checking rooms and common areas
