Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure optimal functioning of building controls.
- Execute residential painting, welding, and other handyman tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal and safety of the property.
- Manage facilities maintenance requests efficiently using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), prioritizing urgent repairs while coordinating with vendors when necessary.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects, providing leadership and ensuring work is completed safely and to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, residential painting, and general repair work.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, and using tools like ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in building management.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history is preferred.
