Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel - Job Summary/Purpose:
The primary function of the Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel is to safely transport pail, drummed, cased goods and bulk fluids from the warehouse facility to customer locations locally and out of town. The job also includes managing the warehouse inventory, packaging products into appropriate containers, receiving inhouse deliveries, preparing outgoing deliveries, and other duties as assigned.
Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel - Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:
- Assist with the loading of cased goods and/or bulk fluids at the warehouse facility.
- Secure freight inside truck with appropriate tools and/or supplies including but not limited to: barrel dollies, pallet jacks, straps, etc.
- Assist with re-packaging bulk fluids to drums and pails in warehouse.
- Assist with management of Inventory in warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on vehicle, make minor repairs as need and report all other needed repairs to supervisor or manager
- Safely transport product to customer sites locally and/or out of town.
- Unload the customer’s freight safely and accurately.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with all DOT policies
- Comply with all State and Federal regulations
- Unload truck and submit all necessary paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of vehicle
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and willing to work overtime if necessary
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Other duties as assigned
Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel - Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent required
- Class B CDL, Hazmat & Tanker certifications
- Must successfully pass the air brake component of the general knowledge test.
- Must possess an acceptable MVR
- Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements including medical certification
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, customers and law enforcement officials
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must have basic written and verbal communication skills
Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel - Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry by hand, freight weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push/pull using mechanical devices such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, pallet jack, etc.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in & out of a truck.
- Ability to move hoses filled with product weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Equipment Used: Box truck, tanker trucks, fork lift, barrel dollies, pallet jacks, valves and hoses
- Education and/or Experience: Successful completion of CDL Driving School
Lubricant Delivery Driver & Warehouse Personnel - Work Environment : Drivers may be exposed to lubricant products, additives, fuel, windshield washer fluids, cleaners, antifreeze, and various other products associated with the lubricant industry. Drivers may be exposed to odors, heavy equipment, forklifts, and various other hazards associated with the lubricant industry in a warehouse facility.
