Position Summary
i-payout is seeking an experienced, hands-on Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and help build a best-in-class finance organization. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has a proven ability to improve financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and support executive decision-making. This individual will work closely with senior leadership and play an important role in preparing the company for future strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, strategic investments, or other corporate transactions. This is a full-time, in-office leadership position based in our Fort Lauderdale headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax compliance, and regulatory financial reporting.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and executive financial reporting.
- Analyze profitability by client, product, business line, and geographic region.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis supporting strategic decisions.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across the finance organization.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor accounting and finance staff.
Preferred Strategic Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Preparing a company for a merger, acquisition, strategic sale, recapitalization, or other liquidity event.
- Participating in financial due diligence on the buy-side or sell-side.
- Supporting private equity, institutional investors, or board reporting.
- Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and corporate planning.
- Multi-entity and international accounting.
- Treasury management and cash forecasting.
- ERP implementation or finance system transformation.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader.
- Required experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing external audits and coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
