CDL A Regional Truck Driver Job Highlights
- $1,300–$1,800+ average gross weekly pay
- $5,000 sign-on bonus paid at $100 per week
- Earn 21% of gross, increasing to 22% after 1 year and 23% after 2 years
- $1.50 per ton unloaded
- $0.22 per mile after 100 deadhead miles per load
- $20 nightly per diem
- $75 additional pay for weekend layovers
- Quarterly fuel and safety bonuses
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Regional routes throughout Tennessee, Alabama, and North Georgia
- Home most weekends with drivers typically spending 2–4 nights per week in the truck
CDL A Regional Truck Driver Responsibilities
- Operate pneumatic tanker trailers hauling calcium, salt, and phosphate
- Safely deliver freight throughout TN, AL, and North GA
- Connect hoses and unload product using pneumatic air systems
- Open and close trailer lids and perform hands-on unloading
- Lift up to 75 lbs while maintaining DOT compliance and safe driving practices
CDL A Regional Truck Driver Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 2 years of verifiable CDL experience within the last 4 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work in all weather conditions
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
- Must live within 25 miles of Sherwood, TN, Guntersville, AL, or Albertville, AL
