SHELTER SERVICES
- Advocate for battered women and rape victims with agencies, criminal justice systems, social services and other systems.
- Ensure that the needs of women and children in shelter and other persons requesting assistance from CISS are met by responding to their expressed needs.
- Accompany women to court and other hearings, including protection and restraining orders; provide advocacy when systems are treating victims of violence unfairly. Assist with Victim’s Compensation.
- Provide transportation to women and their children only as authorized by policy and directed by procedure.
- Provide crisis line support during office hours and evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Assist women as they enter shelter by completing intake and preparing bedrooms for women and children.
- Provide children’s initial intake and orientation to shelter.
- Provide individual crisis intervention.
- Make appropriate referrals to other services.
- Assist with donation management
- Maintain inventory of shelter supplies and consumables
- Assist with client tracking systems
- Assist as needed with fundraising and community events.
- Other Duties as assigned

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
