Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise group activities, games, arts and crafts, sports, meal times, and theatrical performances to ensure an engaging and safe environment.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum elements that promote faith development, social skills, and creativity.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and management strategies.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and Christian values.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's involvement and any concerns that arise during camp sessions.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with special education practices or childhood development principles is a plus.
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare enhances your ability to lead diverse activities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of staff members and volunteers dedicated to creating a positive camp experience for all participants.
