Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, with expertise in patient care, infection control, and dental documentation. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional preventive care, educate patients on oral health, and work collaboratively within a busy general dentistry practice that values professionalism and personal attention.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and calculus.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Perform chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments and sealants
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Eaglesoft while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Monitor patient comfort throughout appointments and address any concerns or questions professionally and empathetically.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and uphold high standards of patient care.
Experience
- At least 1 year experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist with Missouri License
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization standards.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
