Duties
- Thoroughly clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper sanitizing procedures to meet food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including ingredient handling and setup for meal service
- Buss tables by clearing plates, glasses, and silverware promptly to maintain a clean dining area
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently following all safety protocols
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness in all designated areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Support the kitchen team with food handling duties while adhering strictly to sanitation guidelines and health standards
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus
