Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to head the kitchen at Wunderwerk Brewing Company. We are small craft brewery wity a desire to serve German food as well as traditional bar food with our beer. As the driving force behind our kitchen operations, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, safety, and inventory control. Join us to help create the best brewery and atmosphere we can.
Duties
- Lead the planning and execution of a a German themed menu with other familiar bar foods.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee food production processes, including food handling, preparation, cooking, and plating to uphold safety and sanitation protocols.
- Manage inventory control and food cost analysis to optimize purchasing, minimize waste, and maintain budget targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations through regular staff training and inspections.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail in presentation and quality when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with German food.
- Extensive culinary expertise including food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food management in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated supervising experience managing teams of cooks and kitchen staff effectively.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, cost control measures, and food safety standards such as sanitizing procedures.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management, customer service standards, and hospitality principles.
- Background in managing food service operations within the food industry that emphasizes quality control and guest satisfaction.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
