Part-Time PreK / Kindergarten / 1st Grade English Teacher

Position Details
- Position: Part-Time English Teacher
- Age Group: 4–7 years old (PreK, Kindergarten & 1st Grade)
- Location: Springfield Genius Academy, Springfield, NJ
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4–6 hours per day (between 9:00 AM–3:30 PM). Additional hours may be available as needed.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging English language arts lessons that promote early literacy, reading, writing, speaking, and language development.
- Create a fun, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
- Lead and manage a classroom of PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students.
- Guide and support assistant teachers throughout daily routines and classroom activities.
- Foster children's curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence.
- Create, assign, and assess student work to monitor progress and support individual learning goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, caring, and inclusive classroom.
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a supportive and enriching educational experience.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required annual training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field OR a Preschool/PreK Level or New Jersey P-3 Teaching Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool, childcare, or elementary education setting, preferably as a Lead Teacher.
- Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire).
- Must be available Monday–Friday for 4–6 hours per day with flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
- Must complete all required annual professional development and training.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
