Position Summary
Mitigation/Restoration Technicians assist with fire, water, mold, and other restoration projects for customers experiencing property damage. This role involves responding to emergency situations, operating restoration equipment, documenting work, and providing exceptional customer service during what are often stressful circumstances.
Due to the nature of restoration work, job sites may be dirty, wet, extremely hot or cold, and occasionally unsanitary. Safety is a top priority, and technicians are expected to follow all company safety procedures and industry standards while delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, showing empathy, and maintaining professionalism throughout each project.
- Explain restoration recommendations, complete required paperwork, and address customer concerns promptly with the Project Manager or Mitigation Estimator.
- Perform fire, water, mold, and other restoration work while following company procedures and IICRC standards.
- Safely operate restoration equipment and use moisture meters, testing tools, and other restoration equipment correctly.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety and quality standards.
- Protect customer property by following proper handling, transportation, and preservation procedures while maintaining clean, organized job sites.
- Complete all required project documentation accurately and preserve material samples when required.
- Inspect, clean, maintain, and safeguard company equipment, reporting any damage, failures, or job-related incidents immediately.
- Coordinate project needs, including equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractors as directed.
- Exercise sound judgment to resolve routine job-site issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer service.
- Respond to emergency service calls within 1.5 hours while participating in the on-call rotation.
- Maintain respectful, professional relationships with customers, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Previous restoration experience strongly preferred
- Strong work ethic with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following company policies and safety standards
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, moisture, and occasionally unsanitary conditions
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
- IICRC Certification preferred
- CDL preferred but not required

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
