Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a crucial link between our customers and service technicians, ensuring that all service needs are accurately communicated and met. This role requires excellent customer service skills, and willingness to work in a shop environment
This particular advisor position will deal primarily in handling all incoming parts, processing returns, tracking vendor credits and assisting shop foreman in dispatching work to technicians and assuring parts are present and accurate before a tech begins a job.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive for service appointments.
- Assess customer needs by asking questions about vehicle performance and issues.
- Document customer concerns and relay information accurately to service technicians.
- Provide detailed estimates for services required, including upselling additional services when appropriate.
- Manage cash handling processes, including processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Schedule appointments for tire services, alignments, auto body repairs, and other automotive diagnostics.
- Follow up with customers regarding their service experience and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and service history.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within an automotive dealership is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, tire services, alignments, and auto body repair processes is advantageous.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to upsell services based on customer needs while maintaining integrity in recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
