Qualified Professional – Day Treatment Program

Youth Haven Services is seeking a dedicated Qualified Professional (QP) to join our Day Treatment Program. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting youth and families, excels in providing direct care and skill‑building interventions, and is committed to helping clients achieve stability and success in their school and community environments.
Youth Haven Services is a comprehensive mental health agency specializing in serving children, adolescents, and families. The Day Treatment Program focuses on providing structured therapeutic support, behavioral interventions, and rehabilitative services for youth with mental and behavioral health needs. Services are delivered in school and community settings and must follow YHS policies and state guidelines.
Position: Qualified Professional (Day Treatment Program)
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct behavioral interventions, supportive counseling, and skill‑building services based on each client’s Person Centered Plan (PCP).

Deliver structured, strength‑based, recovery‑focused therapeutic activities during the Day Treatment program schedule.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation, including attendance logs, MARs, mileage logs, and required clinical records.

Support treatment plan development and goal implementation in alignment with state Day Treatment service definitions.

Collaborate with school staff, treatment teams, and clinical supervisors to support client progress and functioning.

Implement crisis‑prevention strategies and behavioral supports as needed.

Promote recovery, symptom reduction, improved coping skills, and increased functioning in school and community settings.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (required).

Two years of documented experience working with youth or adolescents with mental/behavioral health diagnoses.

Strong documentation and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain logs and clinical records.

Ability to teach and model skill‑building activities and support clients in structured program settings.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance (for community‑based components).

Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with diverse populations, including school partners.

Ability to understand and follow state Day Treatment requirements and service definitions.

Work Environment

School‑based and community service delivery.

Travel within the Asheboro area may be required for documentation, meetings, or community‑based services.

Some administrative tasks may be completed remotely based on program needs.
Time Allocation (Approximate)

60% – Direct service delivery (behavioral interventions, skill‑building, supportive counseling)

15% – Documentation and medical record upkeep (attendance logs, MARs, clinical notes)

15% – Treatment planning, collaboration with school staff, and team coordination

5% – Parent/family communication and support

5% – Other duties as assigned

Minimal requirement is a 4-year college degree in a human service field with 2 years of documented experience with population served (youth and adolescents with mental health diagnoses).
