Position Summary
The Contents Production Specialist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of customer belongings throughout the restoration process. This role ensures proper inventory control, cleaning, restoration, storage, and transportation of contents while minimizing the risk of damage, loss, or customer dissatisfaction. The position works closely with Operations, Warehouse personnel, Project Managers, and external repair vendors to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Verify all contents received against job inventory records and documentation.
- Inspect items for pre-existing damage and accurately document findings.
- Utilize proper handling techniques and protective materials to safeguard customer property.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking throughout the restoration process.
Cleaning & In-House Restoration
- Perform cleaning, sanitization, deodorization, and minor restoration services using approved procedures and materials.
- Exercise care when handling fragile, delicate, or high-value items.
- Document item condition before and after cleaning or restoration activities.
- Maintain appropriate environmental conditions during the cleaning and restoration process.
Contents Processing & Coordination
- Coordinate restoration, repair, and specialty cleaning services with approved vendors and internal teams.
- Track and document all restoration, repair, and processing activities.
- Provide timely status updates to Operations and Project Management teams.
- Ensure all contents move efficiently through the restoration process.
Storage & Asset Protection
- Store contents in secure, organized, and climate-controlled environments when required.
- Arrange and protect items to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Monitor environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity, as necessary.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
Handling, Packing & Transportation
- Properly pack and prepare contents for transportation using approved packing materials and procedures.
- Clearly label all containers with job information and content descriptions.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting contents while ensuring their protection.
- Follow all company transportation and handling guidelines.
Return & Customer Coordination
- Prepare contents for return according to customer expectations and job requirements.
- Verify returned items against inventory records and condition reports.
- Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules with Operations Managers and customers.
- Document job completion and update all tracking systems accordingly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory, restoration, and processing records.
- Record all damages, repairs, restoration activities, and exceptions.
- Update job files and company software systems in a timely manner.
- Communicate concerns, discrepancies, or project updates to leadership as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operate equipment safely and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Adhere to confidentiality, data privacy, and security requirements.
- Comply with all applicable environmental, regulatory, and company standards related to contents handling and restoration.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle a variety of household and commercial contents.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in contents restoration, cleaning, warehousing, or inventory management preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
