We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Front Counter Associate.
Job Summary
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our bakery, ensuring every customer has a delightful experience. You’ll handle transactions, assist customers with their purchases, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including counters, displays, and seating (if applicable).
- Restock displays and ensure products are presented attractively.
- Provide information about our menu items, ingredients, and specials.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Package and prepare orders for take-out or in-store pickup.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering great service.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, especially in a bakery, café, or retail setting.
- Familiarity with bakery products or a willingness to learn.
