QA Technician – Job Description
The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet company quality, food safety, and regulatory standards through routine testing, documentation, and monitoring activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all required quality assurance testing methods for products and batches.
- Conduct and document weight checks for every sample and flavor.
- Recheck and document any samples that fall below weight specifications.
- Verify and ensure temperature requirements are met (below 40°F).
- Document all required production and QA activities, including:
- Concentrations
- Processing times
- Temperatures
- Sensory
- Monitor and verify quality requirements, including:
- pH levels
- Brix readings
- Product temperatures
- Metal detector
- Conduct sensory evaluations for each batch.
Production and Quality Control
- Approve mix tanks only after all required tests have been completed and product specifications are met.
- Perform in-process and finished product testing according to Garden of Flavor policies.
- Notify operators and management immediately when products do not meet food safety, quality, or regulatory standards.
Food Safety and Compliance
- Report all food safety or quality concerns to management.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Perform all duties in compliance with prerequisite programs and company policies, including:
- Hold/Release procedures
- Food security protocols
- GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Another project assign by QA Manager when it occurs.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
