Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades on commercial, industrial, and renovation sites.
- Interpret section blueprints, schematics, and electrical drafting documents to ensure precise implementation of electrical systems.
- Conduct detailed electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify issues swiftly and accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local building codes for safety and legality.
- Manage low voltage wiring projects alongside high voltage systems, maintaining strict adherence to electrical safety procedures.
- Review blueprints for electrical drafting to verify specifications before installation or modifications.
- Supervise and coordinate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution while maintaining safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
- Document all work procedures accurately and maintain detailed records of inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid Master Electrician license.
- Extensive industrial electrician experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading.
- Demonstrated commercial electrician experience in construction or renovation projects involving building code compliance.
- Strong background in electrical diagnostics, blueprint review for electrical drafting, and interpreting section blueprints.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, high voltage systems, and low voltage wiring practices.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters efficiently in diagnosing electrical issues.
- Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, and blueprint review for electrical drafting purposes.
