Bark Boulevard is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist who loves dogs and enjoys providing outstanding customer service. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients and is responsible for creating a welcoming environment while assisting with daycare, boarding, and grooming appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced pet care environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and their pets with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
- Schedule daycare, boarding, grooming, and training appointments.
- Check dogs in and out for daycare, boarding, and grooming services.
- Process payments and maintain accurate customer records.
- Verify vaccination records and update pet information.
- Explain services, pricing, and policies to customers.
- Assist with retail sales and recommend products when appropriate.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Communicate customer requests and special instructions to kennel technicians and groomers.
- Monitor appointment schedules and help ensure timely service.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with light administrative tasks such as filing, printing forms, and inventory tracking.
- Support staff as needed during busy periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or receptionist experience preferred.
- Experience working with dogs or in the pet care industry is a plus.
- Comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn scheduling software.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.50 - $10.00 per hour
