- Preschool Teacher – 3-Year-Old Classroom
- Floater Teacher (Infant through School-Age Classrooms)

Position OptionsPreschool Teacher (3-Year-Old Classroom)
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for three-year-old children. This position focuses on helping children build social, emotional, language, and early academic skills through structured learning and play.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
- Lead circle time, music, art, sensory, and outdoor activities.
- Foster children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.
- Guide positive behavior using developmentally appropriate classroom management.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, restroom training, handwashing, and transitions.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's daily progress.
- Ensure compliance with all DCF licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Floater Teacher
The Floater Teacher provides classroom support throughout the center by assisting infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age classrooms as needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well in a team environment, and can quickly adapt to different age groups.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks, planning time, and absences.
- Support teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.
- Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, handwashing, and daily routines as appropriate for each age group.
- Help maintain classroom ratios and ensure child safety at all times.
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain clean, organized learning environments.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Follow all DCF licensing requirements and center policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- 45 DCF Hours completed (Required)
- CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education (Preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (Preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum one year of childcare or preschool experience (Preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, patient, and dependable attitude
- Passion for working with young children
- Ability to pass a Local and Federal (FDLE) Level 2 Background Screening
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor with children.
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Respond quickly to children's needs while maintaining a safe environment.
- Work comfortably in an active, fast-paced childcare setting.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
