About the Position
This position reports to the General manager and is responsible for a variety of functions ensuring that our customers, drivers, carriers, manufacturing leadership, and internal personnel are updated regarding all logistics activity. The person needs to have previous customer service, dispatch, and data entry experience. Strong interpersonal, communications skills, and organization will be used to complete a full load of duties daily.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Take truckload orders via phone, fax, and email. Confirm orders, update all involved if changed
- Communicate daily and/or weekly with manufacturing to ensure capacity is not overloaded
- Dispatch company drivers and brokered carriers, creating BOLs as necessary, and negotiating rates
- Track the pickup and delivery of goods (inbound and outbound loads)
- Schedule pick-ups of returned materials from suppliers and customers
- Communicate daily with drivers to achieve the most efficient routing
- Coordinate international shipments with internal purchaser, manufacturing, broker, and customer
- Read, interpret, and implement tariff requirements from outside carriers as necessary
- Handle claims processing with outside carriers
- Review fuel purchasing and negotiate rates with merchants
- IFTA/IRP filing
- Maintain vehicle files, including maintenance
- Set-up and maintain all driver files for DOT
- Track HOS and ELD mileage
- Monitor safety of drivers via ELD logs
- Track driver regulatory requirements, including coordination of drug screening pool
- Administrate activity related to vehicles such as keys, pike pass, vehicle recalls, tag renewals
- Filing of paper documents and proper archiving of all electronic documents
- Assist with special projects, as required
- Attend company meetings as requested
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a comparable position
- Demonstrated knowledge of dispatching, DOT, OSHA, IRP/IFTA, FMCSA
- Proficiency in all MS software, especially Excel
- Experience with MAS 90/Sage software preferred
- Experience with TMS/dispatch software
- Experience administrating ELD platform
- Must pass background screening
- Must be able to pass company requirements to drive a company vehicle
- Must be able to work a Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM schedule with an occasional Saturday, and light overtime

Pay based on experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
