Position Overview: The AV Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Event Technology, Assistant Director, and Lead AV Specialist with Floor Coverage, Set and Strike of AV equipment, and in-room Operation of AV Services in accordance with all company guidelines, standard operating procedures and quality initiatives. This includes managing inventory, technical and event execution, and providing the utmost in hospitality and client satisfaction. This position is also responsible for accurately diagnosing and solving technical issues, providing guidance to freelance labor, and assisting other Hotel Departments as necessary.
Please note that the standard hours for this position are 6am-2pm, with flexibility based on show schedules
Position Responsibilities:
Assist the team in the following areas:
- Serve as a Floor Lead to oversee events and contract labor for the first shift, with other responsibilities and shifts as scheduled
- Effectively manage the setup of client events to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure all events are set up according to Company standards.
- Ensure all inventory is in good working order and rentable condition
- Be constantly aware of the property inventory and location of equipment and ensure inventory is secure from theft and/or damage.
- Provide appropriate equipment maintenance and coordinate repair of damaged equipment.
- Proper utilization of Company computer systems in order to effectively communicate and organize workload
- Effectively communicate questions and concerns to the Director, Assistant Director, and Lead AV Specialist in a professional manner.
- Contribute to an environment of continual improvement and inspired employee morale.
- Have a working knowledge of industry trends, tools and innovations.
- Continually work toward updating and improving technical skills.
- Delegate tasks effectively as required.
- Maintain professional self-image and appearance at all hotel properties and sponsored events.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and Executive Office requests
- Other duties as required or assigned by supervisors
- Cultivate and maintain a strong and rewarding business relationship with our Hotel partners.
Must have open availability.
Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Required Skills / Experience / Education / Certification:
- 2+ years of AV experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
- Computer proficiency
Working Conditions:

- Use of the arm, wrist and hands in keyboard and mouse usage.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
