American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week academic medical center assignment requiring 2 years of critical care experience and WV or compact RN licensure.

in in the ICU of a regional academic medical center

care for critical care patients including neuro ICU, surgical ICU, and cardiovascular cases

patient ratio of 1:2

duties include pre/post cardiac catheterization or intervention care and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
-
rotating 3x12 hour shifts between days (0700-1900) and nights (1900-0700) with no fixed cadence

self scheduling available
-
Cerner charting system required
-
Active WV or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Prior critical care experience required
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS
-
PALS and TNCC certifications preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred
-
Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Prior charge nurse experience preferred

Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
-
Skills needed include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, EVD/ICP monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Two professional references required for consideration

Provide comprehensive critical care nursing services to patients with complex and multisystem conditions

Work in a 303-bed academic medical center serving patients from West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southern Ohio

Must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract
