West Michigan Street Veterinary Clinic is a high-volume, full-service, fast-paced clinic on the west side of Indianapolis seeking an experienced veterinary kennel assistant to join our rockstar team! Our awesome kennel assistants do a lot more than just kennel care since the clinic does not have any boarding animals.
Bilingual (Spanish) applicants will be preferred, but this is not a requirement.

Applicants will be expected to (but not limited to);
- Restrain cats and dogs safely (restraint experience is a requirement!)
- Communicate with clients both over the phone and in person
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs (>50lbs will be assisted)
- Be able to bend and get up and down multiple times during the day
- Help keep our facility clean, sanitized, and organized
- Keep track of daily tasks & duties
- Clean and prepare rooms for each client and patient
- Be able to stand for extended periods
- Keep items stocked and organized
- Maintain clean cages for our dropped off patients
- Assist the Technicians/Assistants and the DVMs whenever help may be needed.
Specific training for in-house lab machines and radiographs will be provided. Dog and cat restraint experience is required.
Hours will be: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday- 8:45am to 6pm with likely 1 Saturday (8am to 1pm) per month. We are only open on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
