We are seeking an experienced Travel Histology Technician for a 13-week contract in Weston, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled laboratory professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality histology services in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Assignment Details
- Position: Histology Technician (HT/HTL)
- Location: Weston, FL
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible extensions
- Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM )
Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
- Perform routine and specialized histology procedures while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure proper specimen handling and documentation.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support accurate diagnostic testing.
Requirements
- ASCP (HT) or (HTL) certification required
- Active Florida Histology License is required
- 1-2 years histology laboratory experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of histology techniques, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
