Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic RN Charge Nurse to join our team for part-time evening shifts, including every other weekend. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee nursing staff (CNAs and LPN), coordinate patient care, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of life for our residents while fostering a collaborative and compassionate care environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing staff during evening shifts, ensuring seamless patient care delivery.
- Administer medications to residents
- Oversee clinical assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration in accordance with physician orders.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
- Supervise documentation processes
- Address complex clinical issues
- Assist with triage assessments and prioritize urgent resident needs during shift transitions.
- Support compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Valid RN licensure with current state registration; prior experience as a charge nurse preferred.
- Long-term care experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate nursing staff effectively.
- Experience working with individuals with memory care needs is a plus.
- Ability to handle complex clinical situations including acute pain management, or hospice & palliative care.
